(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - With the elimination of the Toronto Raptors from the NBA playoffs, the Indiana Pacers search for a coach is expected to pick up.
The Pacers are believed to be one of several teams interested in talking to the reigning NBA coach of the year, Toronto's Sam Mitchell. Mitchell is a free agent after the Raptors failed to sign him to an contract extension before the season.
The Raptors were eliminated from the playoffs by the New Jersey Nets last Friday.
The Pacers are looking for a replacement for Rick Carlisle, who was relieved of his coaching duties after four seasons.
