(SYRACUSE, NY) - Bryan Bullington improved to 6-and-1 as the Indianapolis Indians defeated the Syracuse Chiefs 8-5 in the opener of a four-game series in Syracuse.
The former Ball State star allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings of work.
Luis Matos slammed a two-run homer and Chris Truby hit a two-run double to pace the offense for the Tribe.
John Hattig had a two-run double and drove in three for the Chiefs.
Game two of the series is tonight in Syracuse.
