(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University guard Joey Shaw is leaving the IU basketball program, according to a pair of published reports.
An Idaho newspaper reported that Shaw has decided to transfer to the College of Southern Idaho, a junior college that would allow Shaw to play this season.
Had he transferred to a division-one school, he would have had to sit out the upcoming season.
An assistant coach with Southern Idaho confirmed the report of Shaw's transfer to The Indianapolis Star.
Shaw, who averaged four-point-five points in 32 games as a redshirt freshman last season, told friends he was concerned over playing time based on the recruits IU was bringing in.
