(COLUMBUS, OH) - The Indianapolis Indians snapped their five-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Columbus Clippers.
Shane Youman picked up the win, going six and two-thirds shutout innings to improve to 5-and-5.
Brian Bixler put the tribe on the board with an RBI triple in the first. Brad Eldred added an RBI double for the Indians, who remain two games behind first-place Toledo in the west division.
Game two of the four-game series is tonight in Columbus.
