(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The first day of singles play at the Indianapolis Tennis Championships in Downtown Indy brought a pair of upsets.
Number-eight seed Benjamin Becker fell to Frank Dancevic 6-4, 6-3 in the afternoon.
In the last match of the evening session, number-seven seed Robbie Ginepri, the 2005 champion, lost to Michael Berrer 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Tonight's action on stadium court will mark the first action for the tournament's top two seeds. Number-one Andy Roddick faces Alex Kusnetzov in the first match followed by number-two seed James Blake taking on Thomas Johansson.
