(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have activated defensive tackle Corey Simon and he may have been one of the last to find out about the status change.
The motive behind the move is still unclear and Simon says that the whole situation was news to him.
There is speculation that the move was a procedural step in the termination of the veteran's seven-year contract.
Simon did not play in the Colts 2006-2007 season after undergoing knee surgery during training camp.
