(BLOOMINGTON) - More than 60 teams are in Bloomington this week for the ASA girls’ 14-and-under fast-pitch softball tournament.
It's a five-day event that is expected to bring about 1.2-million dollars in added revenue to Monroe County.
Hoosier Amateur Sports Corporation Director William Knox says more than 1500 people will be spending money at local hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and other outlets. Most of the teams hail from the Midwest.
Opening ceremonies are tomorrow at 5:00PM inside Assembly Hall.
