(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Shelley Duncan cracked his club record-tying 24th homer to boost the visiting Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees over the Indianapolis Indians 8-5 Monday.
The solo shot matched the team record mark set in 1998. Indians reliever, Jonah Bayliss took the loss for the Indians after giving up two runs, one earned, on two hits in three innings.
The loss was the Indians seven in their last eight games and it followed at 16-3 rout of Rochester a night before.
The home team dropped to 49-45 on the season as they now hold only a half-game lead over the Louisville Bats in the International League West Division.
Both teams will try it again tonight.
