(MUNCIE, IN) - Brandon Murphy’s six-yard touchdown run with 17 seconds remaining gave the Miami Redhawks a 14-13 win over the Ball State Cardinals at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie.
Murphy scored Miami's other touchdown on a 21-yard run in the second quarter to put the Redhawks up 7-3.
Jake Hogue's second field goal of the night brought the Cardinals within one late in the third quarter before Nate Davis hit Dante Love for a 24-yard touchdown to give Ball State a 13-7 lead with 11:22 remaining in the game. Murphy ran for 124 yards and the two touchdowns.
The Cardinals travel to Eastern Michigan on September 8th.
