(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Jose Hernandez’ walkoff two-run homer capped a five-run bottom of the ninth as the Indianapolis Indians came back to defeat the Durham Bulls 5-3.
Michael Ryan led off the ninth with a solo home run and Brad Eldred followed two batters later with a two-run blast. Following a Luis Matos double, Brian Shackelford came in to pitch for Durham and gave up Hernandez' game-winner.
JP Howell was dominant in his seven innings of work for the Bulls, giving up two hits while striking-out twelve.
With the win, the Indians snap a two-game losing skid. They open a ten game road trip with a doubleheader tonight in Richmond.
