(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Brian Bixler and Jose Hernandez drove in two runs apiece as the Indianapolis Indians edged the Richmond Braves 4-3.
The Indians took a 1-0 lead on Bixler's RBI double in the third and extended the lead to 4-0 on another RBI double from Bixler and a two-run single by Jose Hernandez.
Richmond's comeback attempt fell short with Wes Timmons driving in two of the braves' three runs. Michael Tejera allowed all three Richmond runs on four hits over six and-a-third innings to improve to 6-and-2.
The four-game series wraps up tonight in Richmond.
