(FORT MILL, SC) - The Charlotte Knights scored four runs in the first and three more in the third as they cruised past the Indianapolis Indians 7-1.
Alex Sanchez led off the bottom of the first with a solo homer, his first of the season. Kenny Perez capped the scoring in the first with an RBI single and blasted a three-run homer in the third to conclude Charlotte's scoring.
Heath Phillips allowed a run on six hits over seven innings to pick up the win and improve to 11-and-7.
Andrew McCutchen hit his first home run with Indianapolis to account for the tribe's lone run.
The Indians open a four-game series in Toledo tonight.
