(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana University basketball team will open their season without AJ Ratliff.
The former Indiana Mister Basketball has been ruled academically ineligible for the first semester and will miss the first nine games.
Ratliff will be allowed to practice with the team, but cannot participate in games until after first semester finals, which end on December 14th.
If Ratliff makes grades, he would be eligible to return for the Hoosiers' December 15th game with Western Carolina.
