Illinois defeated the Indiana Hoosiers 27-14 Saturday.
The Hoosiers suffer their first loss of the season despite Kellen Lewis having another strong day. The sophomore Q-B threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns. Lewis also rushed for another 93 yards on 17 carries.
The difference in the game was likely in the ground game, as the Illini rushed for 288 yards on 55 attempts. Rashard Mendenhall did most of the damage, rushing for 214 yards on his own.
