(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University sophomore quarterback Kellen Lewis is the Big Ten’s offensive player of the week.
Lewis ran for a career-high 199 yards with a pair of touchdown runs and three touchdown passes in the Hoosiers' 41-24 win over Akron Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Lewis' 199 rushing yards ranks third on the all-time list for Indiana quarterbacks behind a 210-yard game and a 209-yard effort from Antwaan Randle El.
It is the third time Lewis has won big ten player of the week honors.
The Hoosiers are 3-and-0 and open the Big Ten portion of the schedule Saturday when Illinois comes to The Rock.
