(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue senior quarterback Curtis Painter is the Big Ten’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Painter completed 38 of 49 passes for 348 yards and six touchdowns in the Boilermakers' 52-6 dismantling of Eastern Illinois. Painter's six TD passes tied the school record held by Drew Brees and Kyle Orton.
Painter shares the award with Minnesota freshman quarterback Adam Weber. It is the third time Painter has won player-of-the-week honors.
