(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts returned to practice on Thursday.
They have not played since beating Tampa Bay on October 7th and by the time they face the Jaguars in Jacksonville on Monday night it will have been 15 days since their last game
Some players needed the time off as seven players missed the game against the Buccaneers. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison, running back Joseph Addai, safety Bob Sanders, linebacker Freddy Keiaho, wide receiver Aaron Moorehead, tight end Ben Utecht and kick returner TJ Rushing were all held out of the Tampa Bay game.
The horseshoes were close to full strength at practice yesterday. Only left tackle Tony Ugoh and linebacker Victor Worsley missed Thursday's workout. Ugoh's absence was listed as a team decision while Worsley has a foot injury. Harrison practiced on a limited basis Thursday with his bruised knee.
Several players were held out of the October 7th game in the hope that they would be healthy for this Monday's showdown with the Jags.
Jacksonville is 4-and-1 and has won four straight after dropping their season opener against Tennessee. They are a game behind the 5-and-0 Colts in the AFC South.
With a win, the Colts will complete a sweep of their three divisional road games for the season.
