(SOUTH BEND, IN) - It looks like the Notre Dame basketball team will open the season without forward Luke Harangody.
The 6-8 sophomore has a torn ligament in his right thumb and is expected to miss three to six weeks. Harangody suffered the injury in practice on Monday and will be in a cast for the next couple of weeks
The Irish open their regular season on November 12th when they host Long Island University.
Harangody could miss as many as six games.
