(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - The Indiana Pacers hit the road for the first time this preseason as they face the Hornets in New Orleans.
The Pacers ran their record to 2-and-0 in exhibitions with a 97-87 victory over the Seattle Supersonics Saturday night at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Pacers beat New Orleans in their preseason opener, defeating the Hornets 101-96 last Wednesday night at Conseco Fieldhouse. That loss is the only one for New Orleans so far as the Hornets ran their preseason record to 2-and-1 with a 111-106 win over the Phoenix Suns Saturday night in the big easy.
The Pacers have been banged up in their first two contests. Point guard Jamaal Tinsley and center David Harrison did not play against the Sonics. Tinsley has been hampered by an injury to his right shoulder while Harrison has an ankle injury.
Guard Kareem Rush did not play in the second half against Seattle due to soreness in his right Achilles'.
Jermaine O'Neal did play in Saturday night's win after missing the exhibition opener with the Hornets due to soreness in his left knee.
