(MEMPHIS, TN) - The Indiana Pacers finish their preseason schedule tonight when they face the Grizzlies in Memphis.
The Pacers will be without forward Troy Murphy while forward Jermaine O'Neal is doubtful.
Murphy has been sidelined by strained achilles' tendon and the team hopes he will be ready for Wednesday night's regular season-opener against Washington.
O'Neal has missed the Pacers' last three exhibition games with swelling in his left knee.
Center David Harrison and guard Kareem Rush could play tonight as could forward Shawne Williams.
Head Coach Jim O'Brien said last week that Williams would not play in the final two preseason games due to Williams' suspension for the first three regular season games and the coach's desire to setup rotations for the start of the season. A lack of healthy bodies has changed many of O'Brien's late preseason plans.
The Pacers announced Thursday that they have released rookie free-agent centers Courtney Sims and Lukasz Obrzut.
Sims, who played collegiately at Michigan, had his best performance of the preseason in Tuesday night's win at Minnesota, scoring twelve points and grabbing eight rebounds.
Obrzut, who played at the University of Kentucky, saw limited action with the Pacers, playing just nine minutes while getting into two games.
O'Brien says he would like to see Sims play for the pacers' developmental league affiliate in Fort Wayne. Obrzut, a native of Poland, is expected to go to Europe to play.
