(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers open training camp today at Conseco Fieldhouse.
New coach Jim O'Brien promises to bring a strong work ethic and a concentration on defense to a team that finished twelve games under .500 and had a stretch of 17 losses in 19 games during the second half of the season.
The Pacers remain virtually intact from last year despite rumors that all-star forward Jermaine O'Neal was on the trading block.
One player who is not returning is point guard Darrell Armstrong. The team announced on Monday that they have waived the 13-year veteran.
