(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers survived a challenge from Lipscomb to defeat the Bisons 66-62 at Mackey Arena.
Keaton Grant's three-pointer with 41 seconds remaining put the Boilers up for good as Purdue won despite being outshot from the field 51-percent to 32-percent.
Scott Martin led Purdue with 16 points, including a pair of free throws with seven seconds remaining to seal the victory. Robbie Hummel added 13 points and eight rebounds as the Boilermakers improve to 2-and-0.
Lipscomb's Eddie Ard led all scorers with 19 points as the Bisons fall to 1-and-5.
