(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre dame announced Wednesday that Jimmy Clausen will start at quarterback when The Fighting Irish host air force on Saturday.
The decision to replace Evan Sharpley with Clausen was announced after yesterday's practice. Head Coach Charlie Weis was not available for comment but Weis is expected to talk about the decision today.
Clausen started six games for Notre Dame before spending the last two on the bench.
Weis said two weeks ago that Clausen was recovering from the pounding he has taken after being sacked 23 times this season.
