(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Vacation is over for the Indianapolis Colts as the players will return to the practice field this afternoon.
The Colts have had the past three days off following their 31-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Thanksgiving night. They are expected to have a light workout today and take Tuesday off before beginning preparations for Sunday's game with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday.
The Colts improved to 9-and-2 with their win over the Falcons and are a game ahead of the Jaguars in the AFC South. The Jags improved to 8-and-3 with a 36-14 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The Colts won their first game with the Jaguars, winning 29-7 in Jacksonville on October 22nd.
Head Coach Tony Dungy is hopeful that the extra rest will allow some of the Colts' injured players to get healthy in time for the divisional showdown.
The Colts head coach also says the extra time off will mean a return to a normal practice routine, including full pads. Dungy had lightened the load during practice due to the limited number of players available and a schedule that saw the Colts play two games in four days.
