(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts returned to the practice field Wednesday to begin preparing for their Sunday night game in San Diego.
The Colts are 7-and-1 following last Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots. The Chargers are a disappointing 4-and-4 under first-year coach Norv Turner.
It is the first time the Colts and Chargers have played since 2005 when San Diego came to the RCA Dome and handed the horseshoes their first loss of the season following a 13-and-0 start.
The Colts' injury list continues to grow following last weekend's battle with New England. Fourteen players either did not practice or practiced on a limited basis according to Wednesday's injury report.
Among those who sat out Wednesday are tight end Dallas Clark, linebacker Gary Brackett, defensive linemen Dwight Freeney and Raheem Brock, defensive back Marlin Jackson and offensive linemen Ryan Lilja and Tony Ugoh.
Freeney and Lilja are the only two not listed as being injured but were held out of practice by the team.
Among those who returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday were receiver Marvin Harrison and linebackers Tyjuan Hagler and Freddy Keiaho.
