(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The eighth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers survived an early scare to defeat the Chattanooga Mocs 99-79 at Assembly Hall.
Eric Gordon was impressive in his college debut, scoring 33 points to lead the Hoosiers. Armon Bassett finished with 20 points and DJ White added 17 for the 1-and-0 Hoosiers.
Kevin Bridgewaters led the Mocs with 14 points with Kevin Goffney adding 13 points and nine rebounds as Chattanooga used a 12-0 run to take a 50-46 lead at halftime.
The Hoosiers are off until Sunday when they host Longwood in the first round of the Chicago Invitational.
