(SOUTH BEND) - In what ended up being a classic ending to an exciting game, Navy defeated nemesis Notre Dame 46-44 in triple overtime.
The victory for the Midshipmen snapped an NCAA-record 43-game losing streak that dated back to 1963.
The Irish had more offensive yards, more first downs, and even held a slight edge in time-of-possession, but it was the Midshipmen whose execution paid off when it counted most as wide-out Reggie Campbell caught the game winning-touchdown and two point conversion in the third O-T.
The Irish have now lost a school-record five in a row at Notre Dame Stadium.
