(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame Football Coach Charlie Weis hopes to decide today whether Evan Sharpley or Jimmy Clausen will start at quarterback Saturday when The Fighting Irish host the Air Force Falcons.
Weis did not announce a starter at his weekly news conference on Tuesday, saying both were in the running entering Tuesday's practice.
Clausen started six games earlier this season but has been on the bench the past two games after being sacked 23 times.
While Clausen has been getting healthy, Sharpley has run the show. The junior has thrown for 257 yards with two touchdowns and an interception while being sacked nine times in back-to-back losses to USC and Navy.
Notre Dame is 1-and-8 and has lost all five of its home games this season.
