(MARTINSVILLE) - The BNL boys basketball team slipped past the Martinsville Artesians, 55-54 on Friday night.
The two teams kept it close in the first two quarters and were tied at halftime, 26-26. The Stars took off in the third quarter but not before Martinsville closed up the gap before the final buzzer sounded.
Chase Spreen led the Stars with 31 points total, which equals 56-percent of the overall scoring for BNL.
The win puts the Stars on a two-game winning streak and moves BNL to a 2-5 on the season.
The Stars will look to extend their winning streak Saturday night when they welcome Columbus North to the BNL Fieldhouse in a game originally scheduled for November 20th. You can catch all of the action starting at 7:15pm with Myron Rainey and crew on 1340 AM WBIW.
