(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - JaJuan Johnson scored 14 points to lead the Purdue Boilermakers past Texas Southern 76-56 at Mackey Arena.
Scott Martin and Keaton Grant added eleven points each for the boilers, who improve to 7-and-2 and 6-and-0 in West Lafayette this season.
Sollie Norwood was the only Tiger to reach double figures with a game-high 16 points as Texas Southern loses its eighth game in a row to fall to 1-and-8.
Monday's game was the opener of the Las Vegas Classic for both schools. Purdue host Wofford in round two on Wednesday night before heading to Vegas for two more games over the weekend.
