(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Keaton Grant’s free throw with 1.4 seconds remaining gave the Purdue Boilermakers a 51-50 win over Iowa at Mackey Arena.
Iowa tied the game at 50 with five seconds remaining when grant drove the length of the court and was fouled by the Hawkeyes' Tony Freeman. Grant made the first free throw and intentionally missed the second one with Purdue grabbing the rebound and running out the clock.
E'Twuan Moore led the Boilers with twelve points with Scott Martin adding eleven as Purdue improves to 16-and-5 overall, 5-and-2 in the Big Ten.
Justin Johnson led the Hawkeyes with 14 points with freeman adding 13 as Iowa falls to 10-and-12, 3-and-6 in conference play.
The Boilermakers have won six in a row heading to a Saturday afternoon game at Illinois.
