(BEDFORD) - The BNL boys basketball team were not treated well by their guests, the Edgewood Mustangs, this past Friday night. The Stars lost the matchup between the pair, 71-55.
Despite Chase Spreen's 19 points for BNL, the Stars could do little to contain both Edgewood's Tommy Weakley and Garrett Butcher who scored a combined 56 points for the Mustangs. Weakley tossed in 30 points of his own, with seven of his buckets successful 3-point attempts. Butcher was close behind with 26 points of his own.
It was a different story earlier in the evening when the BNL junior varsity team defeated the Mustangs, 52-41.
The loss pushes BNL back to 6-8 on the season. The Stars hope to bounce back this Friday night when they travel to Jeffersonville to play against Hoosier Hills Conference rival the Red Devils. Tune in for all of the action starting with the 7:15pm pregame on your station to the Stars, 1340 AM WBIW.
