Big news was made Friday afternoon in West Lafayette as Danny Hope was named the new Associate head coach of the Purdue Boilermakers.
A press conference was scheduled for 3:30pm Friday, introducing Hope to the media and the public.
Current head coach Joe Tiller is expected to coach the team through the 2008 regular season, and then step down.
Hope will be the offensive line coach this season, a role he previously held while in West Lafayette, before taking over as head coach in 2009.
The 65-year old Tiller has led the Boilermakers to ten bowl appearances in eleven seasons at Purdue.
Hope is 49, and has spent five seasons as the head coach at Eastern Kentucky, his Alma Mater.
