(IOWA CITY, IA) - Eric Gordon scored 25 points as the twelfth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers opened the Big Ten season with a 79-76 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.
DJ White added 16 points and 15 rebounds with Jamarcus Ellis finishing with 15 points and Jordon Crawford scoring twelve.
Justin Johnson led a late Iowa comeback bid, scoring 21 of his game-high 29 points in the second half. Johnson went 8-of-13 from three-point range with six of those bombs coming in the final 1:56 of the game.
The Hoosiers have won eight in a row to improve to 12-and-1. Iowa falls to 7-and-7.
The Hoosiers are off until Tuesday when they travel to Ann Arbor to face the Michigan Wolverines.
