(WEST LAFAYETTE) - The Purdue Boilermakers played inspired basketball on their home floor as they topped nationally ranked Wisconsin 60-56 at Mackey Arena on Saturday.
The Boilers were led by freshman guard E'Twaun Moore who scored a team-high 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor. Robbie Hummel scored 10 and JuJuan Johnson provided energy off the bench, scoring eight points of his own for the Boilers who improve to 15-5 with the victory.
The Badgers were led by senior center Brian Butch who recorded a double-double with a game-high 20 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Trevon Hughes also chipped in with 11 points for the Badgers, who saw their 10-game winning streak come to a screeching halt.
