(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Eric Gordon scored 25 points and DJ White added 22 as the tenth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers pulled away in the second half to defeat Penn State 81-65 at Assembly Hall.
White scored nine of his points during a 14-4 run in the second half that allowed the Hoosiers to build a cushion.
Penn State held a 52-51 lead when Gordon's three-pointer opened the big run, after which the Nittany Lions would get no closer than twelve points the rest of the way.
Armon Bassett added 17 points and Jamarcus Ellis finished with twelve as the Hoosiers picked up their twelfth-straight win to improve to 16-and-1 on the season, 5-and-0 in Big Ten play.
Penn State, which lost leading scorer and rebounder Geary Claxton to a season-ending knee injury against Wisconsin on Tuesday, was led by Talor Battle's 20 points with Jamelle Cornley adding 19 points.
Penn State falls to 10-and-7 overall, 2-and-3 in the Big Ten and 0-and-15 all-time at Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers extended their home court winning streak to 27 games. They will try to make it 28 in a row on Wednesday night when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes.
