(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana’s 29-game home court winning streak came to an end Saturday afternoon as the Hoosiers fell to a short-handed Connecticut Huskies team: 68-63.
The Huskies were without key guards Jerome Dyson and Doug Wiggins, who were suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.
Despite the perceived setback the Huskies gave a strong effort, as all five starters scored in double figures. Connecticut was led by junior guard Craig Austrie who scored a team-high 15 points.
The Hoosiers were led by Armon Bassett who scored a game-high 18 points. Freshman guard Eric Gordon struggled in this game, scoring 14 points and shooting 5-of-16 from the floor for the Hoosiers who drop to 17-2 with the loss.
