(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University is expected to announce today a school investigation into allegations that men’s basketball coach Kelvin Sampson knowingly violated recruiting restrictions and then lied about it to the school and NCAA investigators.
IU President Michael McRobbie is expected to announce the school's plans at a news conference.
Athletic Director Rick Greenspan is expected to oversee the investigation and make a recommendation to McRobbie in a matter of days.
An NCAA report released Wednesday claims Sampson and members of his staff made five major rules violations and then lied to school officials and NCAA investigators.
