(SEYMOUR) - A total team effort pushed the BNL Lady Stars past the Owls of Seymour, 66-56, on Saturday afternoon.
Amanda Anderson led BNL with 16 points, Tabi Terrell and Miranda Mann followed with 11, Megan Burton nine, Tayla Robbins 8 and Joey Holt contributed seven in the Stars victory. In an impressive 17-0 run in the final minutes of the game, the Lady Stars surged ahead to claim their 15th victory of their flourishing season.
It was also a good day off the boards for BNL. Holt grabbed 10 rebounds, Terrell nine and Burton eight in the defensive effort by the Lady Stars.
Erin Murphy finished with 20 points for the Owls, with Kristin Turner adding 18. Turnovers plagued Seymour, who gave away 23 during the matchup.
The Lady Stars will enjoy a first round bye in the upcoming 4A sectional and will face the New Albany Bulldogs.
