(NEW ALBANY) - The BNL Lady Stars slipped past the New Albany Bulldogs in Class 4A, Sectional 15 action last night, 59-53.
The Lady Stars trailed at halftime, but came out of the locker room on a mission and lead the matchup 47-38 at the beginning of the fourth quarter. In the third, BNL went on an impressive 13-4 run and a hard pressing zone defense caused 10 New Albany turnovers.
Senior Megan Burton led BNL with 22 points and 5 steals. Tabi Terrell added 9 points and Amanda Anderson chipped in 8 points and grabbed 5 steals in the Lady Stars victory.
With the win, BNL moves to 16-5 on the season and advances to the sectional final tonight where they will face the Seymour Owls. The Lady Stars wrapped up their regular season with a 66-56 win against the Owls on January 31st.
