(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indianapolis TV station is reporting Indiana University basketball coach Kelvin Sampson has coached his last game for the Hoosiers.
WTHR reports IU is trying to work out a settlement with Sampson's lawyers that would allow the coach to resign. If that can't be worked out by tomorrow, the station says Sampson will be suspended tomorrow "pending termination." WTHR reports assistant coach Dan Dakich will take over as interim coach.
Sampson has been on the hot seat since the NCAA accused him of committing five major violations, including lying to the university and the NCAA about improper recruiting calls. IU reported the calls themselves four months ago.
The Hoosiers' next game is at Northwestern on Saturday.
