(WASHINGTON, DC) - The Purdue Boilermakers advanced in the NCAA Tournament, defeating the Baylor Bears 90-79 in a first round game Thursday in Washington D.C.
Keaton Grant led five Boilers in double figures with 17 points with E'Twaun Moore adding 16 as Purdue put this one away early. Baylor led 11-10 when the Boilermakers went on a 22-4 run and built a 19-point lead at halftime.
Curtis Jerrells led the Bears with a game-high 27 points as Baylor still has not won an NCAA Tournament game since 1950.
Purdue extended its first-round winning streak in the big dance to ten in a row. They will face number-three Xavier in round two on Saturday afternoon.
