(UNDATED) - In college basketball news, former Indiana University trustee Harry Gonso will head up the search committee to find a permanent replacement for Kelvin Sampson as men’s basketball coach.
Gonso, who quarterbacked the Hoosiers' football team to the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day of 1968, heads a ten-member panel consisting of faculty and alumni.
The Indianapolis Star reports that interim coach Dan Dakich has been guaranteed a position within the athletic department next season, although not necessarily on the basketball staff.
Assistant Coach Ray McCallum was not guaranteed a position, but will be paid for next season if he is not retained.
