(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers return to action tonight as they open a two-game road trip in Dallas with the Mavericks.
The Pacers have not played since Tuesday night when they snapped a three-game losing streak with a 114-107 win over Seattle at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The blue-and-gold have lost nine of their last 13 games to fall to 25-and-39, but are still just a game and-a-half out of a playoff berth. The New Jersey Nets currently hold down eighth place in the East in what has become a wild playoff race.
The Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks are in a flat-footed tie for ninth in the conference, a half-game behind New Jersey. Then come the Pacers in eleventh, a game and a half back of the final playoff berth.
Charlotte had their five game winning streak snapped on Wednesday and are now a full game behind Indiana with Milwaukee dropping two and-a-half games behind the Pacers and four games behind the Nets for the final playoff berth.
The Mavericks are riding a three-game winning streak and stand seventh in the ultra-competitive Western Conference at 42-and-23. They are just three and-a-half games behind the Lakers for the best record in the Western Conference.
Dallas beat the Pacers in the first meeting between the two clubs at the Fieldhouse back in November.
