(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers don’t play again until Friday night when they open a two-game road trip in Dallas.
Of late, not playing has been a good way to move up the standings in the lower levels of the Eastern Conference. The division tightened up again last night with the New Jersey Nets snapping a five-game losing streak with the Atlanta Hawks and the Charlotte Bobcats losing.
The result is that Indiana remains in eleventh place in the East, a game and-a-half behind New Jersey for the eighth and final playoff berth.
The Hawks fall into a ninth-place tie with Chicago a half-game behind the Nets while the Bobcats fall a full game behind the Pacers in twelfth place.
