(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have another day off before trying to extend their longest winning streak of the season.
The Pacers have won four straight heading into Tuesday night's game with the New Orleans Hornets at Conseco Fieldhouse. The streak started with victories over new York, Charlotte and Minnesota before the blue-and-gold knocked off the Chicago Bulls 108-101 Saturday night in Chicago to move past the Bulls into a ninth place tie with New Jersey in the Eastern Conference.
The Nets can regain sole possession of ninth this evening as they face the Knicks tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Pacers are currently a game and-a-half behind Atlanta for the eighth and final playoff berth in the East.
The Hornets have won three straight and hold a percentage-points lead over the Lakers for the best record in the Western Conference. They are coming off a 113-106 win at home over Boston as they snapped the Celtics' four-game winning streak.
Following tomorrow's game, the Pacers will have a home-and-home with the Nets. The series begins Wednesday night in east Rutherford with the rematch coming to the Fieldhouse on Friday night.
