(COLUMBUS, OH) - Purdue’s chances for a Big Ten championship took a major hit as the 15th-ranked Boilermakers lost at Ohio State 80-77 in overtime.
Jamar Butler led three Buckeyes in double figures with 16 points as Ohio State snapped a four-game losing streak.
Scott Martin led Purdue with 14 points with E'Twaun Moore adding eleven as the Boilers fall to 23-and-7, 14-and-3 in the Big Ten.
Purdue falls a half-game behind Wisconsin for first place in the Big Ten. They will need to win their regular-season finale at Michigan on Sunday and hope the Badgers lose one of their final two games against Penn State and Northwestern to earn a share of the Big Ten title.
