(WEST LAFAYETTE) - The Purdue women’s basketball team will begin NCAA tournament play at home on Sunday.
The Boilermakers are the #9 seed in the Oklahoma City Regional and will take on #8 seed Utah on Sunday evening at Mackey Arena. Purdue is 18-14 and needed a win in the Big Ten Tournament to make the field of 64 for the 15th-consecutive year.
The Utes are 27-4 and are ranked 13th nationally.
They saw a 22-game winning streak come to an end with their shocking upset at the hands of #9 seed Colorado State in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament.
The winner of Sunday's game will likely get top-seeded Tennessee in round two.
