(SEYMOUR) - 14 first quarter turnovers plagued the BNL Stars in their loss to the New Albany Bulldogs Friday night, 62-49.
Friday night for the BNL boys basketball team felt like a replay of their regular season matchup on February 15th. In that game, New Albany's William Barber exploded with 13 fourth quarter points and the Bulldogs went on to win, 75-50.
By halftime this Friday night, New Albany had extended their led by 12 points, 31-19. BNL would push hard during both the third and fourth quarters, but it wasn't enough to pull in the reins on a strong New Albany team.
The Stars were led by Ason Hacker with 18 points, senior forward Mark Schneider followed with 16 and senior Chase Spreen ended with 13 as the Stars wrap up the 2007-2008 season with a 8-13 record.
1340 AM WBIW would like to congratulate the BNL Stars on a hard fought season and would like to thank all of our sponsors that supported the boys and girls teams this season.
