(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue men’s basketball team will participate in the 2008 NIT season tip-off with Mackey Arena serving as one of four host sites for first and second-round games.
Arizona, Boston College, Oklahoma and Purdue will serve as host schools under a new format with each site hosting a mini-tournament among four teams. The mini-tournaments will take place between November 17th and November 20th.
The winners of the mini-tournaments will head to Madison Square Garden for the semifinals on November 26th with those winners facing off in the finals on November 28th.
The twelve teams that do not make it to the semifinals will play third and fourth-round games on campus sites that will be determined by a seeding process.
